Basic first aid kit
Hey guys,
I am so sorry for not posting for about 2-3 months. I have been super busy with school and babysitting! I am going to be posting a lot of new content on this page.
Basic first aid kits:
I always bring a first aid kit with me to babysitting jobs. These are so handy.
You will need:
- · Band-Aids of various sizes
- · Tweezers
- · Antiseptic ointment/Antiseptic powder
- · Panadol- Nurofen, Paracetamol (most kids can’t swallow tablets)
- · Bandages
- · Scissors
- · Gloves
- · Splinter probe- for getting splinters out.
- · Tissues
- · Red flannel (for wiping away blood so the colour doesn’t scare them)
- · Burn cream
- · Medicine syringe for liquid medicines
- · Small treat- to take their mind off the pain (hard lollipops are good0
- · Water bottle- to wash dirt off
- · Medium sized plastic container or first aid bag
- · Alcohol swabs
- · Cotton balls/buds
Awesome!!! the red flannel is a REALLY good idea! I had never heard that before! Going to add it to my kit! :) Two things, you should always check with parents before giving any medicine to children. Families usually have at home what they want you to use. 2nd, if you are CPR certified, put a CPR barrier in it! :) Great post!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah true about the medicine. I am CPR trianed. Thanks Anna
